The pinacoteca of the Basilica of San Paolo outside the Walls in Rome, contains the altarpiece by Antonio Aquili known as Antoniazzo Romano representing "Madonna and Child between Saints Paul, Benedict, Justin and Peter".
It was made for the Roman Basilica from 1488 to 1490.
The restored paintings was presented on the occasion of Antoniazzo Romano and Montefalco exhibition in the Museum Complex of San Francesco in Montefalco in 2017, curated by Antonio Paolucci, an exhibition promoted by the Umbrian Region, the Vatican Museums and the Municipality of Montefalco.
The catalog of the exhibition, edited by Angela Breda (see section "Publications"), contains, among others, the information about of the technical report and the photographic documentation to our restoration.
