Trinità dei monti projects - Rome

The preliminary study of the architectural surfaces on the exterior of the complex of Trinità dei Monti in Rome consisted of an analysis of the ancient coloring in the monastery, cloister and façade of the Church. In situ work was also carried out with the help of movable arm technology. We conducted stratigraphic tests, performed chromatic scales and collected photographic documentation as well as a series of significant samples. Once samples of different materials had been collected, we carried out scientific investigations aimed at determining the construction materials used and their stratigraphy. A technical report with all the photographic documentation and a summary of all the data collected in the study campaign was presented. This information is needed to select out the best way to restore the façade.
