Andrea Carlone - Chiesa del Gesù - Rome

Andrea Carlone decorated the vault of the right transept of the Chiesa del Gesù in Rome with frescoes and stucco decorations from 1674 to 1676. The artist decorated the church according to the typical Italian 17th century style and technique. The decoration suffered over the years from water infiltrations and static instability. Several restoration interventions have been carried out on the frescoes, the stuccoes and sculptures over the years, with the oldest dating from the 19th century. Our intervention consisted in the complete restoration of the frescoes, stuccoes and sculptures.
