Villa Spineda Loredan - Montebelluna
The complex of Villa Spineda-Gasparini-Loredan is located in the village of Venegazzù of Volpago in Montello (Treviso). The villa is believed to have been designed, and the construction project followed, by F. M. Preti (1701-1774) and his pupil, G. Miazzi (1698-1797).
The Villa belonged to the Spineda family, the first owners of the Villa, until 1907, when Countess Matilde Spineda died and Cavalier Giovanni Gasparini became her heir. His son, Jacopo Gasparini, the honorary governor of Eritrea, bestowed a period of splendor upon the Villa. After his death, the Villa was inherited by his daughter Lia, married to a Loredan. In 1996, the complex was purchased by Benetton Sport System who had been the building refurbished and associated statues and sculpture groups restored. The restoration of the complex was preceeded by a project on the state of conservation of all the buildings and the type of materials used (see section "Projects").
